Who’s excited for spring? I know that spring has arrived, but it still seems like winter in my neck of the woods. In fact, some snow is predicted for tomorrow. I can’t wait to slip on some comfortable shoes, a light jacket, or a gorgeous sweater and head out the door. Isn’t it true that the ancient adage “hurry up and wait” exactly suits me?
Meanwhile, I’ve been doing some online shopping and have fallen in love with the new Orvis Women’s spring collection. Orvis Spring Line
As I become older, I prefer to dress in higher-quality clothing. Perhaps I’ll leave it to experience. Because I know that really fashionable garments purchased from a well-known boutique last barely a season owing to poor quality and designs/patterns. What I’ve noticed with Orvis products is that you get what you pay for. I’m looking for something that can withstand my love of mucking around in tiny creeks and streams, as well as jumping into my jeep and driving around the field or even to the supermarket.
And the fabric is really soft! I chose the Band-Collar Short-Sleeved Dress and three very soft Perfect Short-Sleeved Crewnecks, which are so titled because they are.
The Band-Collar Dress is one of those outfits that you can throw on over your head, accessorize with a nice belt and shoes, and go. I accessorized with brown leather clogs and a gold-trimmed belt. This would also look great with flip flops or chunkier heels. The dress comes in two colors, Amber and Juniper, and both are quite versatile and stunning.
I couldn’t decide between three colors for the Perfect Crewneck shirts. Geranium is a lovely red-orange, Ink is a navy blue-like color, and Water is one of those blues that fits with practically anything. The sleeves were a couple of inches over my elbows, and the crewneck form may be dressed up or down. I’m prepared to wear jeans or a great skirt, formal sandals or flip flops, or even cute strappy sandals.
